Loldia House
Great Rift Valley, KeynaThe Loldia House is a two hour drive from Nairobi and is a popular place to begin a safari. Loldia Farm was started after a settler from South Africa came to Kenya via an ox wagon after the Boer War and to this day has been kept in the same family. Surrounded by acacia and fig trees and situated on the western shores of Lake Naivasha, the present Loldia House is constructed of local stones and provides stunning views of the dormant volcano Mount Longonot. Wild animals roam the grounds at night, including hippos that feed off the grass.
